When planning our trip to Sri Lanka many months ago we decided our top priority was an authentic Sri Lankan Cooking Class! Nim and his companions at Rustic tours did not disappoint – in fact he fulfilled all we had hoped for! When we arrived at the home of Rustic tours we were immediately greeted with open arms by Nim! What a warm and beautiful home! Going to the market was a true highlight for all of us and especially to learn of all the new fruits and vegetables we had never heard of. We were placed with a great group of people from Kuwait and Singapore and we had a blast preparing many different dishes together. The best part was when we sat down to enjoy our creations with one another. I would definitely recommend not missing this adventure when in Sri Lanka!!! It was my first time joining a Sri Lanka cooking class and never thought it could be that fun and enjoying. The experience in the market tour was enjoying where I was able to pick the different ingredients for the recipes. Also, I got the chance to discover the different authentic Sri Lankan dishes. One of the exciting things about it is that I can take a tour of the local market and learn the traditional dishes. I want my family to have a never-before cooking experience. Together with my husband and son, we joined this Sri Lankan cooking class. We enjoyed exploring the market in Colombo, and we were able to see some of the fruits, vegetable, and product in Sri Lanka for the first time. Also, we had a great time learning traditional dishes. We find Asian flavor interesting, so we come up to the idea of joining this Sri Lankan cooking class. We find it fun and unique.
